Please read these Terms of Service carefully. By accessing or using Bursascan ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
1. Eligibility
You represent and warrant that you: (a) are of legal age to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction; (b) have not previously been suspended or removed from using Bursascan; and (c) have full power and authority to enter into these Terms.
2. Account Registration
Some features require you to create an account ("Account"). When you create an Account, you agree to:
- provide accurate and truthful information;
- maintain and promptly update your Account information;
- keep your password confidential and secure your device and Account;
- notify us promptly if you suspect any unauthorized access to your Account; and
- take responsibility for activity that occurs under your Account.
3. What Bursascan Provides
Bursascan is a research and analytics platform for Bursa Malaysia. We compile publicly available market data, company filings, and shareholder disclosures, and present them alongside AI-assisted analysis and summaries. Bursascan is not a licensed real-time market data terminal, a broker, an investment adviser, or a financial institution. Nothing on Bursascan constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and you should not treat any content on Bursascan as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security.
4. Discontinuance of Services
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Bursascan at any time, with or without notice, without liability to you.
5. Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge that using an internet-based service carries risk, including hardware, software, and connectivity failures, and the possibility that data shown on Bursascan is delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Market quotes on Bursascan are delayed by at least 15 minutes and are supplemented from third-party sources between official disclosure updates; they should not be relied on for time-sensitive trading decisions. We are not responsible for losses, damages, or claims arising from:
- delayed, missing, or inaccurate market data;
- server failure, maintenance, or data loss;
- forgotten passwords or compromised Account credentials;
- phishing, viruses, or third-party attacks; or
- decisions made based on AI-generated analysis or summaries, which may contain errors.
6. Third-Party Content and Data Sources
Quote and financial data displayed on Bursascan is compiled from Bursa Malaysia's own public disclosures (announcements, annual reports, quarterly results), supplemented by Yahoo Finance and other third-party sources between official updates. We do not control or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of data sourced from third parties.
Bursascan may link to third-party websites and platforms, including social media. We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for the content or practices of those third-party sites. Your use of any third-party site is at your own risk.
7. Acceptable Use
When using Bursascan, you agree that you will not:
- use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access Bursascan or extract data, outside of normal search-engine indexing;
- reproduce, redistribute, or resell data, analysis, or content compiled by Bursascan without our prior written consent;
- use Bursascan's compiled data or analysis to train or fine-tune machine learning or AI models without our prior written consent;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's Account or to any part of Bursascan you are not authorized to access;
- introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code to Bursascan;
- misrepresent your identity or provide false information; or
- use Bursascan for any unlawful purpose.
8. Intellectual Property
Except for data sourced from Bursa Malaysia and other third parties (which remains the property of its respective owners), all design, text, graphics, compiled data presentation, and AI-generated analysis on Bursascan ("Bursascan Materials") are the property of Bursascan or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute Bursascan Materials without our prior written permission, except as permitted by applicable law, such as brief excerpts with clear attribution and a link back to Bursascan.
If you believe content on Bursascan infringes your copyright, contact us at support@bursascan.com with a description of the material and your contact details, and we will review your request.
9. Trademarks
"Bursascan" and our logo are our trademarks and may not be used without our prior written permission. All other trademarks mentioned on Bursascan belong to their respective owners, and their appearance does not imply any endorsement or affiliation.
10. Suspension; Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Bursascan, including deactivating your Account, at our discretion, including where we believe you have breached these Terms.
11. Cookies
Bursascan uses functional cookies and local storage to remember optional preferences you choose, such as your light or dark theme. We do not currently use these for advertising or third-party analytics tracking. Essential features of Bursascan (signing in, searching) work whether or not you accept optional cookies. 12. Communications
If you create an Account, we may email you about Account-related matters: sign-up confirmation, security notices, and service updates necessary to operate your Account. We do not currently send marketing emails; if that changes, any marketing communication will include a way to opt out.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bursascan is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that data displayed on Bursascan is accurate, complete, or up to date.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bursascan and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits or data, arising from your use of or inability to use Bursascan, including any damages resulting from reliance on information obtained through Bursascan, whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
16. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Bursascan harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of Bursascan or your violation of these Terms.
17. General
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Bursascan regarding your use of the service. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of Bursascan after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
